This summer, Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson (GSHH) donated over 30 cases (360 boxes) of Girl Scout cookies to Congregation Kol Ami’s Food Pantry!
Of these cases, approximately 20 cases were donated by White Plains Girl Scouts (WPGS), led by long-time Kol Ami member Jaime Lieber. The remainder was donated by the Council, Girl Scouts Heart of Hudson, where long-time Kol Ami member Liz Kaufman is Secretary of the Board of Directors.
Sophia, Brownie Troop 2671, dropped off cases of Girl Scout cookies to the medical staff at the White Plains Cancer Center. Nurse Dana is Sophia’s aunt and the reason she aspires to be a nurse when she grows up. She wanted to spread joy to the staff, especially the nurses, who take such amazing care of this special group of patients.
Troop 40133 from Sloatsburg, had a booth sale at the Tuxedo Farmers Market where we sold cookies and did some recruiting at the same time. We sold 66 boxes and had 78 left over. The remaining 71 boxes were donated to the NYPD in Suffern, who always support our community by keeping traffic safe during parades and events. We felt it was a meaningful way to thank them for all they do.
GSHH delivered over 200 cases of Girl Scout Cookies to Sparrow's Nest in Hopewell Junction, which supports families who are facing cancer diagnoses/treatments.
