SALA: Summer Adult Learning Academy

The Summer Adult Learning Academy (SALA) is Girl Scout Heart of the Hudson’s opportunity to provide Troop Leaders and Service Unit volunteers with their core training and enrichment sessions to prepare them for their upcoming 2022 Membership Year starting on October 1st! The training courses are scheduled in such a way that you can choose which courses you need for your upcoming Girl Scout year.

Before registering for this event, please review this SALA Event Packet to see the schedule of courses available. Use the schedule in the event packet to choose what courses you will attend and at what times. Some courses overlap, so please review the schedule carefully. You will not be permitted to register for, or attend, courses that overlap on the schedule.
The SALA Event Packet also contains detailed information about the courses that are offered, so that you can choose the ones appropriate for your needs. Some courses are free, and some require fees to cover cost of supplies and materials. Fees are listed in the SALA Event Packet. The courses available include:
- Volunteer Essentials
- Sleep In
- Cook Out
- Camp Out
- First Aid & CPR Training
- Daisy Level Training
- Brownie Level Training
- Junior Level Training
- Cadette Level Training
- Senior/Ambassador Level Training
- Jump 2 Journeys
- Service Unit Team session
There are also fun-sized sessions available with fun and useful activities you can take back to your girls. In addition to these courses, during the lunch hour there will be an Investiture Ceremony for new troop leaders.
