Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson is excited to celebrate Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend — and we need your help to make it an unforgettable experience!
We’re forming a volunteer committee to help organize and run two exciting events:
- Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Minnewaska State Park Preserve
- Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Rockefeller State Park Preserve
We’re looking for volunteers to:
- Join the planning committee
- Host an activity table or station at one of the events
Hosting a table is a fun and meaningful way to engage with Girl Scouts and share your passions. Need inspiration? Here are some great station ideas:
- Nature scavenger hunt
- SWAP station
- Leaf rubbing or nature-inspired crafts
- Girl Scout Tree Promise
- Animal tracks and wildlife education
- Intro to map reading and compass skills
- Leave No Trace principles
- Plant and tree ID
- Invasive species
- Nature photography
- Build-your-own mini shelter or knot-tying demos
- Nature-related badges
*Tables and stations can be part of a Take Action project, count for community service hours, or be leadership hours for Highest Awards! Troops or individual Girl Scouts are more than welcome to host a table and participate in all the other provided activities!
Whether you’re a nature lover, crafty creator, science enthusiast, or just want to help, there’s a place for you on the team!

Let’s work together to bring the joy of the outdoors to our Girl Scouts!
