The Kamikaze Kanoers welcome new members to join. A fun outdoor activity for girls between 11 and 18 years old with minimal COVID risk. Whether you love to canoe, or have never touched a paddle, we would love to teach you to canoe and to race. Since 1979 they have raced in the Governor Clinton Canoe Regatta in Bainbridge, NY held on Memorial Day weekend. Girls on the team will learn canoeing skills and create friendships that last a lifetime. Practices are held at Camp Addisone Boyce in Tomkins Cove, NY (Rockland County) and are generally held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4pm-6:30pm from late March through race weekend at the end of May. To race, girls must be between 11 and 18 years old on race day. Girls who are not currently Girl Scouts are welcome to join the team. Prior GS membership is not required, but all team members must become members of Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson.
