GSHH Visits American Airlines

On Saturday, November 9, 2024 - Girl Scouts from Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson participated in a special program hosted by American Airlines along with Girl Scouts of Nassau County at Laguardia Airport.
Girl Scouts of Nassau County said of the event:
"Girl Scouts of Nassau County recently joined forces with American Airlines to offer Girl Scouts a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn about the wide range of aviation careers from women pilots, aerospace mechanics, navigators, flight attendants and other professionals who live it every day. More than 150 Girl Scouts from across Long Island spent the day at LaGuardia Airport, where they experienced boarding a plane, taxiing the runway, learning how planes work, and speaking with women in aviation. This event exemplifies the Girl Scouts’ commitment to introducing girls to inspiring role models in STEM fields."
