We said 55 Broadway was the perfect place for an ice cream shop, and if it was available, it would be a sign. A month later, we found out we could move in.  We seized the opportunity, never having done anything like this before, because we knew one thing- Brian makes really good ice cream. This was our FORTUNE.

We want to share with you what we happily make for our own family; fresh, seasonal, quality ice cream that is fun and delicious. We want to be a place where you gather and enjoy something together. Our little town is magic.

You can anticipate a friendly atmosphere, engaging conversations and rewarding work. Working in the fields can be physically demanding; we are often kneeling while harvesting or weeding.  Knee pads are recommended if you have sensitive knees.  Other times you'll be standing and washing vegetables or packing vegetable shares in the shade of the barn.  Both are especially fun on hot summer days!   We have volunteers that range in age from 8 to 83 years old, so come on by the farm and see what it’s all about!

What started out as a hobby for two sisters, Anne St. George and Regina Furphy, naturally grew into a small business as the addictive crunch of their homemade Gourmetibles — a cracker layered in caramel and chocolate — created a demand to produce more product than their kitchens could handle.

Today, The Chocolate Studio welcomes visitors to their storefront on Main Street in Beacon, NY, and offers the original Gourmetibles and a variety of other delicious treats, from chocolate bars and truffles to baked goods, candy, and an assortment of ice cream from Moo Moo's in Cold Spring, NY and vegan ice cream made in house with fresh cashew milk.

During World War II, the courageous women known as “doughnut dollies” played a vital role in boosting soldiers’ morale on the front lines. These dedicated volunteers, often part of the American Red Cross, brought a sense of comfort by serving freshly baked doughnuts to weary service members. Their presence and tasty treats provided a brief respite from the hardships of war, reminding soldiers of the comforts of home and lifting their spirits in the midst of adversity.

My business aims to boost the morale of my community through my baking. While I am no longer working in the field of therapy, I believe that food can be a unique form of treatment, where the simple act of savoring flavors can bring joy and nourishment, providing a healing experience for both body and soul.
