HUDSON HURRICANES
The Hudson Hurricanes (formerly known as the Kamikaze Kanoers) are a competitive Girl Scout canoe racing team. For over 38 years they have raced in the Governor Clinton Canoe Regatta held on Memorial Day weekend in Bainbridge, NY. Girls on the team will learn canoeing skills and create friendships that last a lifetime. Whether you love to canoe, or have never touched a paddle, we would love to teach you to canoe and to race.
Practices are held at Camp Addisone Boyce in Tomkins Cove, NY (Rockland County) and are generally held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4:00pm - 6:30pm from late March through race weekend. An informational meeting will be held prior to the first practice. To race, girls must be between 11 and 18 years old on race day.
