Confidence, self awareness, and leadership grow even stronger when Girl Scouts have time to reflect, connect, and build community together. Glow From Within, Shine Outward Overnight is a special overnight experience for Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Girl Scouts, combining personal growth, meaningful action, and shared connection in a supportive cabin setting.
During this immersive overnight program, Queen S. Ofori, MBA, who leads much of the badge experience through her Road to Queendom program, will guide participants through badge work focused on confidence, wellness, self expression, and inner strength. Cadettes will complete the Outside the Mirror Badge, Seniors will earn the Mind Body Me Badge, and Ambassadors will earn the Cheers for Every Body Badge. Girl Scouts will then apply what they learn by working together to fully earn their level's Take Action Award, which may be used as a prerequisite toward the Silver Award (Cadettes) or the Gold Award (Seniors and Ambassadors).
The Road to Queendom is an affirming, intergenerational journey centered on self worth, authenticity, and purpose driven leadership. Through guided reflection, discussion, and meaningful activities, participants connect inner growth to leadership, service, and creating lasting impact.
In addition to badge and award work, Girl Scouts will enjoy a memorable overnight camp experience including dinner, cabin lodging, an indoor campfire with s'mores, and breakfast, allowing time to relax, strengthen sisterhood, and build connections across levels.
All participants will complete and go home with their badge and Take Action Award. Girl Scouts may choose to purchase Road to Queendom: 365 Days of Affirmations and Reflections To Keep Your Crown Straight as an optional program add on; books must be ordered in advance and will be distributed during the program, with signed and personalized copies available. Adults who are staying overnight will need to have background checks.
