So Much To Do, So Many Choices!

Looking for programs or activities for Girl Scouts to participate in?
GSHH has great choices for you...

Choices range from Council Events listed in our Monthly Activity Calendar, CONNECTIONS also available in our calendar on the left side of the page;

GSHH Patch Programs; Affiliated Program Partners – pre-approved
and screened activities and Service Unit Activities – activities run by
local Service Units that are open to all.

Girls can also travel back in time and visit the Museum at Camp Wendy or borrow resouces.

Our activities reflect the Girl Scout Leadership Experience goals and are designed to help the girls:

practical life skills;

Council Events - CONNECTIONS:

The annual publication CONNECTIONS provides a listing of programs run by GSHH staff, volunteers or community partners. There are many to choose from, diverse in themes and available for girls of all age levels.  Click here for CONNECTIONS or check out our Calendar on the left side.

GSHH Patch Programs

Girl Scout badges and patches—believe it or not, there is a difference between the two.  Badges are awards girls earn by completing skill-building activities.There are level-appropriate badges in each Journey book and Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting.

GSHH Patches are given to Girl Scouts for participating in fun events, activities or other programs. The GSHH Patches are created by GSHH girls, volunteers or staff and express the interests of girls in our council.

(NOTE: Patches are to be worn on the back of vests or sashes, while badges are worn on the front.)

Program Warehouse

Non-GSHH-run programs are listed in the Program Warehouse listing. They are provided by outside vendors who extend open invitations to Girl Scouts in the Hudson Valley region to attend and enjoy the programs they offer.

Service Unit Activities

The The Service Unit Activities page  lists programs and events sponsored by service units that girls or troops from other service units are most welcome to join and get involved in!

Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson - Museum Experience

Service Warehouse

The Service Warehouse lists various ways for girls to get involved with organizations within the council where they can volunteer, lend a hand, or provide a service.

Do your girls have specialized interests? Our many teams, ranging from robotics to canoeing and beyond, offer a specialized Pathway for girls who want to focus on one activity as part of an organized team with girls from many troops.
