Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson offers a diverse mixture of exhilarating program opportunities for girls. Your choices range from council events to independent service unit activities to affiliated program partners that have been pre-screened and approved.

Our activities reflect the Girl Scout Leadership Experience goals and are designed to help the girls:

Develop a strong sense of self while seeking challenges and gaining practical life skills;

Develop healthy relationships by promoting cooperation and team building while learning to resolve conflict;

Identify community needs while becoming resourceful problem solvers and learning to advocate for themselves and others;

Feel empowered to make a difference in the world and inspire others to do the same.

Connections You will always have a variety of options when planning your troop activities Council-Wide Programming The annual publication Connections provides a listing of programs run by GSHH staff, volunteers, and community partners. They are vast in number, diverse in theme, and available to girls of all age levels. Service Unit Activities The The Service Unit Activities page  lists programs and events sponsored by service units that girls or troops from other service units are most welcome to join and get involved in! Program Warehouse All non-GSHH-run programs are listed in the Program Warehouse. They are provided by outside vendors who extend open invitations to Girl Scouts in the Hudson Valley region to attend and enjoy the programs they offer. Service Warehouse The Service Warehouse lists various ways for girls to get involved with organizations within the council where they can volunteer, lend a hand, or provide a service. Clubs and Teams Do your girls have specialized interests? Our many teams, ranging from robotics to canoeing and beyond, offer a specialized Pathway for girls who want to focus on one activity as part of an organized team with girls from many troops. GSHH Patch Programs In addition to the badges offered by GSUSA, GSHH offers additional patches created by our own girls,  volunteers, and staff to express the interests of girls in our council and to utilize the  rich history and culture of the Hudson Valley. GSHH Journey Program Ready to start your next big adventure as a troop? Journeys are the perfect way to earn awards, work on service projects, and have fun!
