Home » Girls » Girl Awards Girl AwardsThe Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards give girls the opportunity to live the Girl Scout Promise and Law in their daily life by identifying issues they care about and making a lasting positive impact on their communities. The older girl awards offer girls the chance to lead, show independence and organization, and learn new lifelong skills. Throughout their major award projects, the girls work with their leaders, advisors and the general community. Bronze and Silver may be earned either within or outside of the Girl Scout organization, while the Gold Award must be earned outside of the Girl Scout organization. The project possibilities at all levels are virtually endless and depend on what is important to the individual girl and her community or service unit. Each award represents a significant achievement for the girls. Girls who wear the Gold, Silver and/or Bronze Award on their uniforms can be proud knowing they've made a difference. |
