We serve over 32,000 girls in the mid to lower Hudson Valley Region For 100 years, the Girl Scouts have done more than any other organization to provide leadership opportunities for girls. Recognized as the area's largest youth-serving organization, Girls Scouts Heart of the Hudson serves over 32,000 girls between the ages of 5 and 17 and over 15,000 adult volunteers throughout Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester counties. GSHH is committed to advancing a new direction in girl programming that includes science, technology, engineering, and math (S.T.E.M.), career pathways, reaching more under-served and under-represented girls, and girl advocacy. GSHH continues to increase the diversity of the programs we offer and the girls we serve.
Why We Need Your Support It costs GSHH, on average, $210 per girl/per year to deliver the Girl Scout program. While some of that cost is covered by our cookie program, donor participation is still an essential part of our financial structure. It is vital to our success, not only to defray costs and plan for the future, but also in obtaining grants. We need every supporter of Girl Scouting to make as significant a donation as they can so that we can continue to provide the valuable programs and opportunities that our girls deserve and ensure a legacy of leadership for our next 100 years. GSHH is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization, so your donation will be tax-deductable to the full extent of the law. Each year, we ask supporters of Girl Scouting for tax-deductible donations that can be submitted in a variety of ways. Every gift makes a difference to your daughter, niece, or neighbor and helps to strengthen our communities. Click for ways to give. |
