Papers for Puppies! Guiding Eyes for the Blind's Newspaper Collection Program

Description:Guiding Eyes for the Blind is looking for Girl Scout troops interested in collecting and delivering paper as part of their Newspaper Collection Program. The papers should be processed and delivered to their Patterson  facility, where they'll be used for the 400+ puppies that are born at their facility every year.

Reach Out and Read Book Drive Northern Dutchess

Description:Early childhood literacy is an essential part of a healthy childhood.  Hudson River HealthCare promotes the national literacy program at all of their 17 centers.  Reach Out and Read is geared toward children living in poverty and designed to take place in a medical environment.  Every book counts!  Please help make their drive for children's books a success!  Donate new or gently used books for children ages 6 months to 12 years old.  The goal is to collect enough books to launch and sustain a monthly "Story Hour" where each child would leave with a book.

Description:The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is looking for volunteers to help support Walk MS 2012.  Every year more than 11,000 people will joint together in 7 locations.  On April 28th and 29th, together we hope to raise $2.8 million.  Volunteers are needed to help register participants, host water stations, distribute refreshments and more.

They are seeking girls to volunteer for the day. There are many areas where girls can volunteer: water stations, bag pick up, t shirt hand out, food area, registration (older girls)
