PEPSICO CAREER EXPLORATION OPPORTUNITY
Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors

: PepsiCo Headquarters, Anderson Hill Road, Purchase (Westchester County)
When: Monday, April 5, 4-6 p.m.
Description: Meet the women of PepsiCo, learn about their careers and complete Skill Builder, Technology and Career Exploration components of the Your Own Business interest project patch. Interview, network and socialize to explore careers and opportunities for women.

Cost: $3.00 per girl; no cost for adults

DE-STRESS WITH YOGA

Mud cloth is hand-woven cotton hand-dyed using a century-old process utilizing plant juices/teas and mud to dye the cloth. In this workshop, girls will see the process electronically and then, using mud and paints, make their own piece of cloth. Girls will receive the Cultural Awareness fun patch.

WOMEN IN TECHNOLOGY

Girls in grades 7 and up can join women from the IBM Corporation for an informative and fun-filled afternoon exploring the world of technology and ways a woman can build a career in it. The girls will work in teams with IBM Think Pads to make presentations to the entire group on various topics such as Computers in Everyday Life and Desktop Publishing. A pizza dinner is included in the fee.


TASTE OF CAMP BIRCH RIDGE
Girl Scout Daisies and Brownies

Location
: Camp Birch Ridge (Orange County)
When: Saturday, June 12, 2:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Description: The day will be broken up into stations with each station lasting 45 minutes plus an additional 15 minutes between stations. Each group will rotate through four activities, ultimately enjoying their bagged dinners and ending the day with a warm, bright campfire and singalong. Hot cocoa and dessert will be provided. Activities will include: Paper Bag Scrapbooking, Flower Fairies, Preparing Your Own First Aid Kit, and an ABC Hike around the lake (if inclement weather, another activity will be substituted). Be sure to dress for an entire day and evening of activities. Wear sturdy lace-up shoes and socks. Bring a bag dinner.
