Linking Girls to the Land (LGTTL) is an interagency partnership between Girl Scouts of the USA and federal natural resource agencies. LGTTL encourages partnerships between Girl Scouts and federal natural resource agency representatives on local and national levels to offer more joint conservation and outdoor projects to 2.8 million Girl Scout across the country.

Mix it Up: Guiding Middle School Girls to Success

Did you know that according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs that require computer and math skills are each projected to grow by more than 20 percent in the next decade? Unfortunately, studies show that girls begin to lose confidence and interest in science and math during middle school. Positive reinforcement in these subjects can give girls the extra support they need to enthusiastically pursue science and math education careers.

Do you want to see a woman in the White House one day? The Ms. President patch is a participation patch, which does not require girls to complete a specific number of activities. There are activities for every program level.


Ready for Tomorrow

The future is here. Are girls ready to meet it? They find out as they earn this badge. The Ready for Tomorrow Badge appeared in Girl Scout Badges and Signs (1990) but was not included in the Junior Girl Scout Badge Book (2001). However, the badge is still available online, adapted for the Web.

Created in 2002 to address the critical nationwide problem of low self-esteem among adolescent and pre-adolescent girls, uniquely ME! THE GIRL SCOUT/DOVE SELF-ESTEEM PROGRAM is designed to foster self-esteem in girls, ages 8-17.

The Water Drop Patch Project inspires Girl Scouts to learn about water quality and to take action in their communities to protect and restore local water resources, including their local rivers, lakes, streams, wetlands and ground water.
