Several dignitaries came out to honor the girls' efforts and join the fun. Pamela Anderson, CEO of Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson, announced that, of the many anniversary celebrations she's attended, Chester has the distinction of being the only unit to have a parade. Mayor Philip Valastro made a statement declaring April 29 through May 3 it Girl Scouts Week in the Village of Chester. New York State Assemblywoman Nancy Calhoun presented Vivian Allen with a citation honoring her for being Chester's oldest living Girl Scout.
