The Thomas and Agnes Carvel Foundation approved a grant of $13,900 to provide financial aid for summer 2010 camping experiences for girls from low-income households and underserved communities throughout GSHH’s seven-county jurisdiction. |

Entergy awarded GSHH a grant of $10,000 to expand our popular robotics program. Designed for girls ages 10 to 17, the program will utilize hands-on workshops, seminars, badgework, and techno team involvement to spark their interest in the STEM fields of science, technology, engineering and math. |

Swiss Re Environmental Education Center 2 year, $100,000 grant to support environmental stewardship includes a mentoring program and support towards the construction of an environmental center at the GSHH Rock Hill camp in Mahopac. Read about the project and Swiss Re here:

New York Life School Success Club year 2 funding from Girl Scouts USA in the amount of $20,000 effective October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009. This grant provides for out-of-school Leadership Development activities for girls in grades 6-8 in low-income communities. Approximately 80 girls will be served in targeted school districts in Westchester and Orange counties. |
Community Partnerships Girls Scouts Heart of the Hudson is funded in regional service areas by United Way, county Youth Bureaus, and community foundations.
