New Oaks - Ambassador Girl Scout Nina Farrell, a member of Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson New Oaks Service Unit Troop 10188, received her Gold Award in March.
Having been a Girl Scout for 11 years, she was well aware of the many ways Girl Scouts provide “service to others.” Farrell’s Gold Award project was to “Keep a Senior Warm” by teaching Girl Scouts to sew. She obtained her own sewing machine and reached out to the community for donations of material, remnants and batting. For the complete article and photos please click here. |
