Cadette Program Aide 3/11/18

Sun Mar 11, 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM EDT
162 Bloomingburg Road, Middletown, NY, 10940 Map
As a Cadette, you’re growing into a whole new Girl Scout.  That’s an incredible adventure in itself- a world of new people to meet, exciting activities to try, and choices to make that can change you and the world. Along the way, you’ll become even more of a go-getter and act as a leader among others.  During our time together we will work on the Core Program Aide leadership requirements for the Program Aide Award. We will study child development, age characteristics, attention spans, motor skills and appropriate activities for younger Girl Scouts.  Once you complete this core training, you will still need experience working directly with younger Girl Scouts to complete the entire Program Aide Award therefore as a GSHH Program Aide candidate you will automatically have the opportunity to work with Daisies and Brownies at the council level.  You will have the opportunity to volunteer for council events before any other volunteers are permitted to sign up. If you would rather finish your Program Aide requirements working with younger Girl Scouts in your community you are welcome to arrange that also.
Note: This program is for 7th and 8th grade Cadettes who are working on or have finished their Cadette L.I.A. award.  You must complete your Cadette LIA Award before you can complete and earn Program Aide Award. We suggest all 6th grade Cadettes work on earning their L.I.A. Award and then plan on participating in the Program Aide Training in 7th or 8th Grade.
