This is not a Cadette leader training about the Silver Award, this training is for volunteers who would like to become Silver Award Mentors for the council and to help with girls outside of their own troops.
Although our girls are ready and willing to get out there and make the world a better place, it is our (Adult) responsibility to equip them with the knowledge, skills and direction needed to begin the task.

A Silver Award Mentor is a person who helps each girl understand all the rules, regulations and requirements of the Silver Award set by GSUSA and GSHH. Each Silver Award Mentor is someone who has taken our GSHH official Silver Award Mentor training.  Once asked to mentor a girl, it is the job of the mentor to look over and document each girl’s project proposal and make sure it meets all of the requirements and follows guidelines. A Silver Award Mentor is the girl’s go-to person when they have questions about what GSUSA/GSHH approves, what documentation is needed, if she needs to make a change to her project, or if she needs more Girl Scout or Silver Award information.
