We're ready to get her in a troop so she can enjoy everything Girl Scouts has to offer. And that includes you too! With our cool, new digital tools, it's never been easier (and less time-consuming) to help the future generation of leaders grow. Learn how you can be MORE awesome than you already are.

Putnam County

Mahopac Back to School Night (Austin Rd, Fulmar Rd and Lakeview)
Grades K-2: September 12th at 7pm
Grades 3-5: September 13th at 7pm
Calling all Girls/Adults in the Mahopac Community. When you join Girl Scouts—as a girl or volunteer—you'll be introduced to new experiences that show you you're capable of more than you ever imagined. Whether you are launching a rocket, camping under the stars, writing and staring in a play, running a cookie business, or helping your community, every adventure builds the courage, confidence, and character that empower girls to make the world a better place. Girl Scouts welcomes all interested adults, ages 18 and older, to apply as Girl Scout volunteer.  Pass by our Girl Scout table at your local elementary school for more information on how to sign up.  Questions? Canvas at Camp - Volunteer Recruitment

Have you ever been to a Paint and Sip? Well, now we have a Girl Scout friendly version! Come join us for our first Canvas at Camp where you will learn about the benefits of being a Troop Leader with Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson! New Leader training will be completed at this event. Find out what it takes to be a GSHH volunteer. Speak with experienced staff members. Learn about our recruitment opportunities. Collaborate with other potential volunteers. We will be concluding our Canvas at Camp with a pinning ceremony to welcome you to the GSHH family! Yonkers Riverfest

Riverfest is more than just a festival, it is a celebration of community. It is a time to reunite with friends and family. A time for grandparents to sit with their grandchildren and listen to the some of the greatest songs from each generation. Riverfest will include the best in musical entertainment, arts, crafts, great food, exhibits, children’s activities, and much more throughout the day. It is Yonkers biggest outdoor event and a great tradition. The music is world class and includes everything from country and soul, to hip-hop, rock, and classics. Riverfest is the one day of the year where there is no stress, no rush, and no cost. More than 25,000 people come to downtown Yonkers each year to enjoy music, children’s activities, environmental exhibits, international cuisine, outdoor artist gallery, carnivals games, and much more. Don't miss this year's 25th Annual Yonkers Riverfest!

Yorktown Girl Scout Recruitment Night
Friday, October 6th at 6:00pm

Know a girl in grades K-3? We're starting troops in her age level! As Daisy (K-1) and Brownie (2-3) Girl Scouts they'll do a variety of relaxed, educational, and enjoyable activities - she'll earn badges, patches, and journeys, serve her communities, make friends, and have a lot of fun! Join us to learn what Girl Scouting in Yorktown has to offer! Meet some older girls and hear what they have to say about girl scouting.
We need Leaders and Assistant Leaders who will receive free training and will be supported by a helpful network of friendly Girl Scout Leaders from our own community. Many leaders are working moms. As a leader, you will schedule your troop meetings around your availability. 
Troops will be formed at the end of the program if we have leaders.
To learn more about the exciting world of Yorktown Girl Scouts, join us with your daughter. Coffee, water and snacks will be served.
