Girls—with support from their leaders and Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson—turn Girl Scout cookies into amazing achievements that change the world for all of us.  From Girl Scout Daisies who brighten a dark day for someone in need to Girl Scout Ambassadors who change lives in profound ways, girls put leadership skills into action to make the world a better place.
This cookie season our Girl Scouts will be inspiring change.
- They will discover how their sister Girl Scouts are making a difference right now.
- They will connect with people in their communities.
- And they will use the power of Girl Scout cookies to take action in their own neighborhoods and far beyond.

Cookie season has never been more fun!  Program activity booklets will be distributed to each troop, with fun and learning planned for one or several meetings.  There are many more online tools at
www.littlebrownie.com.

Booths
One way to reach new customers is through a booth sale.  Cookies for booth sales are on consignment, and troops earn 65 cents per box.  Booth sale cookies count toward girl incentives.  Check out “Build a Better Booth” for more ideas
.  Daisy Girl Scout troops can hold booth sales this year!

Girl Scouts tries to move at the speed of the girls! We know how much fun girls have communicating in cyberspace—Facebook, Youtube, personal websites, Twitter and so on. GSUSA has given permission for girls to use social networking to reach their customers. Learn more here about using social networking to market cookies.

Inspired tip: Troops have the greatest success with the Girl Scout cookie program when troops set goals for girls.

The Melting Pot of White Plains and Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson invite you to join them for a special four-course fondue lunch on Sunday June 13, 2010. The meal will be topped off with a melted chocolate fondue enriched with Samoas, Thin Mints or Tagalongs. The cost for this spectacular meal will be $34.95 per adult and $24.95 per child (under 16) with part of the proceeds being donated to Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson to support programs for their girls.

For directions or further information go to the Melting Pot White Plains web page or Facebook.

In addition, beginning March 8th, the Melting Pot is featuring a special Girl Scout cookie fondue dessert. Come in any night of the week and top off your meal with our melted chocolate fondue enriched with Samoas, Thin Mints or Tagalongs! Each dessert will be served with a dipping plate consisting of fruit, cheesecake, brownies, the corresponding Girl Scout cookie and Trefoils. To top it all off – we will donate $1.00 for each small dessert sold and $2.00 for each large dessert sold to Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson.

Moreover, every Girl Scout who appears at The Melting Pot wearing her uniform throughout the month of March will be automatically entered into a drawing for a free chocolate fondue party for her and 11 of her friends!

Lemon Chalet Crème Update
Little Brownie Bakers recently received communications from ten consumers reporting an off taste and smell from certain packages of Lemon Chalet Crème cookies. They immediately took the precautionary step of testing product samples and determined that while the cookies are safe for consumers to eat, they are not up to Little Brownie quality standards.

Find here the information provided to us by Little Brownie, detailing the lots affected. Be assured that GSHH will not receive any of these lots of cookies at delivery. Girl Scouts should continue to sell Lemon Chalet Crèmes, as we will not be affected by this action. No other cookie variety is affected.

All of the Girl Scout Councils that received these lot codes were notified directly. No other Girl Scout cookies are involved.

Operation Cookie Drop
In 2008, Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson sent more than 41,500 boxes of cookies to service people in the US and abroad.

In 2009, we collected and sent over 46,000 boxes of cookies! The first photo of OCD recipients is to the right. Learn more here.
