Steppin' Out With GSHH All Ages Date: October 1, 2009 – September 30, 2010, Anytime Location: Anywhere
Description: In this age of computers, video games and cell phones that do everything but shine your shoes we as Girl Scouts have to take responsibility and stay active. So this Girl Scout Year we want to hear you saying ": I'm stepping out with my... Dad, Mom, friend, troop, classmates, Grandma etc. Grab a friend and get moving. Walk, dance, ride, skate, take an exercise class, etc. Keep track of the amount of time you spend "Steppin' Out" and send it to Rwestall@girlscoutshh.org with "Steppin Out" in the subject line. Any one girl or group can send in as many logged minutes of "Steppin Out" as she likes from Oct 1,2009 - Sept 30, 2010. Anyone who participates will be eligible for the "Steppin Out" Patch which will be available through our shops. So where are we going girls?. A Party for the Planet All Ages
Date: 4/23/2010, 7:00p - 9:30p Location: Rock Hill Camp (Putnam) Description: Come celebrate our beautiful planet! Help save the planet and have fun at the same time. At A Party for the Planet we will come together to celebrate the efforts we have made throughout the year in our own ways to help keep our planet safe for all future Girl Scouts to enjoy. We will sing and dance to honor recycling efforts throughout our council. We are asking that all girls who register make a special effort to recycle household items throughout this Girl Scout year. Amongst hard-to-recycle items, we are asking that GSHH Girl Scouts make a concerted effort to recycle batteries -- not only to attend A Party for the Planet but also to help keep our planet healthy. At A Party for the Planet, girls will enjoy music, dance and song along with a chance to learn how to re-use items and create art. Hogwarts School of Witchcrafts/Wizardry All Ages
Date: 10/30/2010, 2:00p - 4:30p Location: Liberty Presbyterian Church (Sullivan) Description: Join us for a magical day! Get sorted into your Hogwarts house. Take a Muggle Studies class. Play "pin the whiskers on the portrait". Make your own wand -- and more. Dress as your favorite Harry Potter character or as your favorite Muggle. See you there!
